266 people from 13 countries participated in the 34th edition of the Bulgaria Chess Championship "Georgi Tringov". The event took place from 29.01 until 5.02. All of the best Bulgarian chess players participated except for Vesselin Topalov who was at a Netherlands championship at the time.

Viktoria Radeva, with the help of her sponsor - Refan, took the first place among the girls up to 14 year old. Viktoria will participate also in the semi-finals for women.
